What does entrepreneurship mean to you?

To me, entrepreneurship is simply the ability to create value by offering a solution to someone’s problems.

How are you entrepreneurial?

I strive to be entrepreneurial by continually creating opportunities for myself instead of waiting for those opportunities to be handed to me. In university, I joined clubs such as Enactus uOttawa that allowed me to discover a world full of innovation and creativity. Through it all I learned skills and gained real world experience that have played a major role in helping grow in the person that I am today.

How does an entrepreneurial mindset contribute to your life?

Having an entrepreneurial mindset pushes me to live outside of my comfort zone. It allows for me to embrace failure as a learning opportunity. In my current role at SparkPath having this mindset has been valuable. In such an early stage company, it’s important to experiment and iterate, which requires learning many skills. The entrepreneurial mindset has made learning and failing an expected part of the process that I celebrate.
