Intrapreneurship: Not just a typo.
Intrapreneurship. Ever heard over it? I’ll be honest, the first time I came across it, I was almost sure it was a typo. I just assumed the author meant entrepreneurship, but had somehow slipped up on the keyboard. However, it seems intrapreneurship may *actually* be a concept worth exploring!
Investopedia defines it as “ [..] a system that allows an employee to act like an entrepreneur within a company or other organization. Intrapreneurs are self-motivated, proactive, and action-oriented people who take the initiative to pursue an innovative product or service.”
BONUS! Intrapreneurship offers more stability, resources and a fraction of the risk than starting your own business. So if you’re looking for flex your entrepreneurial muscles, but you’re not ready to go “all in”— becoming an Intrapreneur might be a worth looking into!
